You can ask Meta AI questions about what you’re looking at by saying “Hey Meta…” and then asking for more information about what you’re looking at. You can say “Hey Meta, look and…” to ask Meta AI to take a photo to use in its response.

You can also take a photo, either by voice or by using the capture button and within a few seconds, say “Hey Meta…” to ask a question about the photo.

You could ask Meta AI for the English translations of a sign you’re looking at in Italian, what’s the name of the houseplant that you’re looking at or to write a funny caption for the photo that you just took of a dog chasing its own tail. There are lots of things Meta AI can do and we’re working on expanding that list over time.

How does it work?

When you ask Meta AI questions about what you’re looking at, your glasses will send a photo to Meta’s cloud to be processed with AI. After processing, Meta AI will deliver an audio response on your glasses, and you will be able to review your request, the image and the response in  History.

How to ask Meta AI about what you see

Here’s just a few examples of what you can do when using your camera with Meta AI.

Ask about the world around you

• “Hey Meta, describe what I’m seeing.”
• “Hey Meta, tell me about this monument.”
• “Hey Meta, translate this text into English.”
• “Hey Meta, summarise this.”

Take actions on text around you

You can point at text and say things such as:

• “Hey Meta, call this phone number.”
• “Hey Meta, message this phone number.”
• “Hey Meta, scan this QR code.”

Get gardening tips

• “Hey Meta, how much water do these flowers need?”

Express yourself

• “Hey Meta, describe this landscape in an inspiring way.”
• “Hey Meta, write a funny poem about this dog.”

Bear in mind that you can also take a picture, either by voice or by using the capture button, and within a few seconds say “Hey Meta…” to ask questions about the world around you.

How to use Meta AI on your glasses

You can use Meta AI to answer questions in the moment, get information, spark creativity and express yourself hands-free, while also taking photos and videos, calling, messaging and controlling media and volume.

You can activate Meta AI on your glasses by saying “Hey Meta”, or by tapping and holding the touchpad on your glasses.

Ask Meta about the world around you

To get the weather, or for other location-based questions, you must enable location services from your phone settings. Ensure that location access is set to “always allow” for the Meta AI mobile app.

You can share your view from Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses while on a Messenger or WhatsApp call. To turn on this feature, tap  during a Messenger or WhatsApp video call.

You can switch between your glasses camera view and phone camera view by double-pressing the capture button on your glasses.

While you’re sharing video from your glasses camera, you can lock your phone to go hands-free while continuing to share the view from your glasses.

Para ligar o Messenger, o WhatsApp ou o seu telefone à aplicação móvel Meta AI:

1. Na aplicação móvel Meta AI, toque em  no canto inferior direito.
2. Torneira .
   • Se tiver vários dispositivos emparelhados com a aplicação móvel Meta AI, deslize para a esquerda ou para a direita para selecionar o dispositivo para o qual pretende ajustar as definições antes de tocar em .
3. Torneira Comunicação.
4. Torneira Ligar junto do fornecedor a que pretende ligar.

Para enviar uma mensagem:

1. Com os óculos postos, diga: "Ei Meta, envia uma mensagem para [nome]".
2. Para utilizar um fornecedor específico (por exemplo, WhatsApp), diga "Ei Meta, mensagem [nome] no WhatsApp".
3. Ouça e confirme se selecionou a pessoa correta.
4. Diga a mensagem que pretende enviar. O seu dispositivo lê-lhe a mensagem para se certificar de que está correta.
5. A partir daqui, pode dizer "Sim", "Não" ou "Cancelar".

Para enviar uma mensagem de voz através do WhatsApp ou do Messenger:

1. Com os óculos postos, diga "Ei Meta, envia uma mensagem de voz para [nome]".
2. Para utilizar um fornecedor específico (por exemplo, WhatsApp), diga "Ei Meta, envie uma mensagem de voz para [nome] no WhatsApp".
3. Ouça e confirme se selecionou o fornecedor e a pessoa corretos.
4. Quando a gravação tiver começado, diga a mensagem de voz que pretende enviar.
5. A gravação pára quando é detectado silêncio durante 3 segundos ou quando é atingido o limite de 1 minuto.
6. O seu dispositivo pedirá para confirmar que pretende enviar.
7. A partir daqui, pode dizer "Sim", "Não" ou "Alterar".

Para efetuar uma chamada:

1. Com os óculos postos, diga: "Ei Meta, liga para o [nome]".
2. Para utilizar um fornecedor específico (por exemplo, WhatsApp), diga "Hey Meta, call [name] on WhatsApp".
3. Ouça e confirme se selecionou a pessoa correta.
4. Depois de confirmar, a chamada inicia a ligação.
5. Quando terminar a chamada, toque duas vezes no painel tátil dos seus óculos ou desligue o telefone.

Nota: Também pode atender ou recusar chamadas recebidas dizendo "Hey Meta, atender" ou "Hey Meta, recusar".

Também pode partilhe a sua opinião a partir dos seus óculos inteligentes Ray-Ban Meta durante uma videochamada no Messenger ou no WhatsApp.

Para desligar o Messenger, o WhatsApp ou o seu telefone da aplicação móvel Meta AI:

1. Na aplicação móvel Meta AI, toque em  no canto inferior direito.
2. Torneira .
   • Se tiver vários dispositivos emparelhados com a aplicação móvel Meta AI, deslize para a esquerda ou para a direita para selecionar o dispositivo para o qual pretende ajustar as definições antes de tocar em .
3. Torneira Comunicação.
4. Toque no fornecedor que pretende desligar e, em seguida, toque em Desligar.

Notas:

• Podem ser aplicadas taxas de operadora sem fios se ligar os óculos ao seu iPhone ou telemóvel Android.
• Quando optar por ligar o seu iPhone ou telemóvel Android aos óculos, ser-lhe-á pedida autorização para aceder aos contactos do seu telemóvel, para que possa fazer chamadas em modo mãos-livres a partir do seu telemóvel com os óculos. Os números de telefone e o histórico de contactos permanecerão nos seus dispositivos e não serão partilhados com os servidores Meta.
• Se o seu telefone for um dispositivo dual SIM, então o SIM predefinido do seu telefone será utilizado para fazer chamadas em modo mãos-livres quando ligado à aplicação móvel Meta AI.

• As chamadas de emergência (por exemplo, 911 nos EUA) devem ser iniciadas a partir do seu dispositivo móvel.
