You can ask Meta AI questions about what you’re looking at by saying “Hey Meta…” and then asking for more information about what you’re looking at. You can say “Hey Meta, look and…” to ask Meta AI to take a photo to use in its response.

You can also take a photo, either by voice or by using the capture button and within a few seconds, say “Hey Meta…” to ask a question about the photo.

You could ask Meta AI for the English translations of a sign you’re looking at in Italian, what’s the name of the houseplant that you’re looking at or to write a funny caption for the photo that you just took of a dog chasing its own tail. There are lots of things Meta AI can do and we’re working on expanding that list over time.

How does it work?

When you ask Meta AI questions about what you’re looking at, your glasses will send a photo to Meta’s cloud to be processed with AI. After processing, Meta AI will deliver an audio response on your glasses, and you will be able to review your request, the image and the response in  History.

How to ask Meta AI about what you see

Here’s just a few examples of what you can do when using your camera with Meta AI.

Ask about the world around you

• “Hey Meta, describe what I’m seeing.”
• “Hey Meta, tell me about this monument.”
• “Hey Meta, translate this text into English.”
• “Hey Meta, summarise this.”

Take actions on text around you

You can point at text and say things such as:

• “Hey Meta, call this phone number.”
• “Hey Meta, message this phone number.”
• “Hey Meta, scan this QR code.”

Get gardening tips

• “Hey Meta, how much water do these flowers need?”

Express yourself

• “Hey Meta, describe this landscape in an inspiring way.”
• “Hey Meta, write a funny poem about this dog.”

How to use Meta AI on your glasses

You can use Meta AI to answer questions in the moment, get information, spark creativity and express yourself hands-free, while also taking photos and videos, calling, messaging and controlling media and volume.

You can activate Meta AI on your glasses by saying “Hey Meta”, or by tapping and holding the touchpad on your glasses.

To get the weather, or for other location-based questions, you must enable location services from your phone settings. Ensure that location access is set to “always allow” for the Meta AI mobile app.

You can share your view from Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses while on a Messenger or WhatsApp call. To turn on this feature, tap  during a Messenger or WhatsApp video call.

You can switch between your glasses camera view and phone camera view by double-pressing the capture button on your glasses.

While you’re sharing video from your glasses camera, you can lock your phone to go hands-free while continuing to share the view from your glasses.

Om Messenger, WhatsApp of je telefoon te verbinden met de mobiele app Meta AI:

1. Tik in de mobiele Meta AI-app op  rechtsonder.
2. Tik op .
   • Als je meerdere apparaten hebt gekoppeld met de Meta AI mobiele app, veeg dan naar links of rechts om het apparaat te selecteren waarvoor je de instellingen wilt aanpassen voordat je tikt op .
3. Tik op Communicatie.
4. Tik op Maak verbinding met naast de provider waarmee u verbinding wilt maken.

Een bericht verzenden:

1. Zeg met je bril op: "Hé Meta, stuur een bericht naar [naam]".
2. Als je een specifieke provider (bijvoorbeeld WhatsApp) wilt gebruiken, zeg je "Hey Meta, bericht [naam] op WhatsApp".
3. Luister en bevestig dat je de juiste persoon hebt geselecteerd.
4. Spreek het bericht uit dat je wilt verzenden. Je apparaat leest je bericht terug om te controleren of het correct is.
5. Vanaf hier kun je "Ja", "Nee" of "Annuleren" zeggen.

Een spraakbericht verzenden via WhatsApp of Messenger:

1. Met je bril op zeg je "Hey Meta, stuur een spraakbericht naar [naam]".
2. Als je een specifieke provider (bijv. WhatsApp) wilt gebruiken, zeg je "Hey Meta, stuur een spraakbericht naar [naam] op WhatsApp".
3. Luister en bevestig dat je de juiste aanbieder en persoon hebt geselecteerd.
4. Zodra de opname is gestart, spreekt u het spraakbericht in dat u wilt verzenden.
5. De opname stopt als er 3 seconden stilte wordt gedetecteerd of als de limiet van 1 minuut is bereikt.
6. Je apparaat zal vragen om te bevestigen dat je wilt verzenden.
7. Vanaf hier kun je "Ja", "Nee" of "Wijzigen" zeggen.

Bellen:

1. Zeg met je bril op: "Hé Meta, bel [naam]".
2. Als je een specifieke provider (bijv. WhatsApp) wilt gebruiken, zeg je "Hey Meta, bel [naam] op WhatsApp".
3. Luister en bevestig dat je de juiste persoon hebt geselecteerd.
4. Nadat je hebt bevestigd, wordt het gesprek doorverbonden.
5. Als je klaar bent met het gesprek, dubbeltik je op het touchpad op je bril of hang je op met je telefoon.

Opmerking: Je kunt inkomende gesprekken ook beantwoorden of weigeren door "Hey Meta, beantwoorden" of "Hey Meta, weigeren" te zeggen.

Om Messenger, WhatsApp of je telefoon los te koppelen van de mobiele app Meta AI:

1. Tik in de mobiele Meta AI-app op  rechtsonder.
2. Tik op .
   • Als je meerdere apparaten hebt gekoppeld met de Meta AI mobiele app, veeg dan naar links of rechts om het apparaat te selecteren waarvoor je de instellingen wilt aanpassen voordat je tikt op .
3. Tik op Communicatie.
4. Tik op de provider waarvan je de verbinding wilt verbreken en tik vervolgens op Loskoppelen.

Opmerkingen:

• Er kunnen kosten in rekening worden gebracht als je je bril aansluit op je iPhone of Android-telefoon.
• Als je ervoor kiest om je iPhone of Android-telefoon aan te sluiten op je bril, wordt je toestemming gevraagd om je telefooncontacten te gebruiken, zodat je handsfree kunt bellen met je telefoon via je bril. Telefoonnummers en contactgeschiedenis blijven op je apparaten en worden niet gedeeld met Meta-servers.
• Als je telefoon een dual SIM-apparaat is, dan wordt de standaard SIM van je telefoon gebruikt om handsfree te bellen als je verbonden bent met de Meta AI mobiele app.

Belangrijke informatie over noodoproepen met een Ray-Ban Meta bril

• Noodoproepen (bijv. 911 in de VS) moeten vanaf je mobiele apparaat worden geïnitieerd.
• Als je je bril hebt aangesloten op je iPhone of Android-telefoon, bekijk dan de informatie over noodoproepen van je provider om eventuele beperkingen te begrijpen.
