Videos you capture with Ray-Ban Meta glasses will show “Made with Ray-Ban Meta” when you share them to Instagram or Facebook, even if you use another app to edit them. You can turn this feature off at any time from Apparaatinstellingen in the Meta AI mobile app. Bear in mind that you’ll still see “Made with Ray-Ban Meta” when you post unedited media from the Meta AI mobile app to Instagram or Facebook.

How does showing “Made with Ray-Ban Meta” work?

When you capture videos with your glasses, a watermark will be added. This watermark is not visible to the naked eye, but can be detected by certain software. When you share media that you capture from Ray-Ban Meta glasses to Instagram or Facebook, the invisible watermark will be detected, and a visible “Made with Ray-Ban Meta” label will be added to your post or message.

How to turn showing “Made with Ray-Ban Meta” on or off

  1. Tik in de mobiele Meta AI-app op  rechtsonder.
  2. Tik op .

Certain features, such as sharing from your glasses using your voice (“Hey Meta, send a photo”), may require sending your photos and videos to Meta’s cloud for processing and temporary storage. Your media will be temporarily stored in the cloud for 30 days before being automatically deleted. You can manage cloud media from Apparaatinstellingen at any time in the Meta AI mobile app.

To turn cloud media processing on or off:

  1. Tik in de mobiele Meta AI-app op  rechtsonder.
  2. Tik op .

Opmerking: Deleting photos or videos in Gallery will also delete them from the cloud as well as your phone’s photo app.

Can’t import media while smart glasses are updating on Android phone

If you receive an error that says media can’t be imported while glasses are updating on your Android phone, you can try to force stop the Meta AI mobile app from your phone’s settings to resolve the issue.

  1. Go to your phone’s settings and look for the Apps menu.
  2. Find the entry for the Meta AI mobile app and tap it.
  3. Tik op Force stop to stop the app.

Hoe uit te loggen uit de Meta AI mobiele app

When you log out of the Meta AI mobile app, any devices that you have paired to the app will be unpaired.

To log out of the Meta AI mobile app:

  1. Tik in de mobiele Meta AI-app op  in the top right.

Voordat u media importeert

Wanneer je foto's en video's maakt met je Ray-Ban Meta bril, wordt je media opgeslagen op je bril totdat je ze importeert in de Meta AI mobiele app. Tijdens het importeren, terwijl je media wordt overgezet van je bril naar je telefoon, wordt media tijdelijk opgeslagen als onderdeel van de Meta AI mobiele app in een cache. Media wordt na het importeren verwijderd van je bril en opgeslagen in de foto-app van je telefoon. Media in de galerij van de Meta AI mobiele app wordt weergegeven door de foto-app van je telefoon te openen met jouw toestemming.

Bewerkingen die worden gemaakt aan media in de Meta AI mobiele app worden ook gemaakt aan de media die zijn opgeslagen in de foto-app van je telefoon. Het verwijderen van media uit de Meta AI mobiele app verwijdert de media uit de foto-app van je telefoon. Als je media verwijdert uit de foto-app van je telefoon of de toestemming voor Meta AI om toegang te krijgen tot de foto-app van je telefoon intrekt, verschijnen media niet in de Galerij.

If you allow the Meta AI mobile app “always allow” location permission access, location data from your phone can be used to enhance your experience when you are using your glasses, even without having your phone screen on and the Meta AI mobile app open.

How to dismiss a persistent notification for the Meta AI mobile app on Android

Certain voice control features and media import settings require the Meta AI mobile app to run in the background. Android OS displays a persistent notification to let you know which apps are active. You can dismiss this notification by swiping it away. The Meta AI mobile app will continue running in the background if you dismiss this notification.

Turn off auto-import media and voice control

If you’re on an older version of Android OS and are unable to dismiss the notification, you’ll need to turn off auto-import in order to remove the persistent notification.

To turn off auto-import:

How to add multiple devices to the Meta AI mobile app

The Meta AI mobile app supports up to seven pairs of glasses, but only one can be a pair of Ray-Ban Stories. This means that you can connect Ray-Ban Stories and up to six pairs of Ray-Ban Meta glasses, or up to seven pairs of Ray-Ban Meta glasses.

Glasses can only be paired to one Meta account at a time and cannot be paired to the Meta AI mobile app on more than one mobile phone at a time.

To pair additional glasses to the Meta AI mobile app:

How to use auto-import with the Meta View app

The Meta View app automatically transfers media captures from your glasses to your phone’s photo app with auto-import. Auto-import is on by default for Android (13+) and iOS phones, and you can turn this feature off at any time from Apparaatinstellingen.

Auto-import will occur when your glasses are switched on and are in the charging case or their hinges are closed, and your phone’s Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are on.

To turn auto-import on or off:

  1. From the Meta View app, tap  in the bottom left.
  2. Veeg naar beneden en tik op Apparaatinstellingen.
    • If you have multiple devices paired with the Meta View app, swipe left or right to select the device that you want to adjust settings for before tapping Apparaatinstellingen.

How to share photos and videos with Ray-Ban Meta glasses

You can share photos and videos that you capture with your glasses from the Meta AI mobile app. Before sharing media, it must first be imported from your glasses. Importing transfers media you capture from your glasses to your phone’s photo app using the Meta AI mobile app. Auto-import is on by default for Android (13+) and iOS phones.

Media in the Meta AI mobile app is presented in Gallery by accessing your phone’s photo app with your permission. If you delete media from your photo app, or revoke permission for the Meta AI mobile app to access your photo app from your phone’s settings, media will not appear in Gallery.

To manually import media:

  1. Ensure that you have enabled Bluetooth on your phone and paired your glasses and phone using the Meta AI mobile app.
  2. Tik in de mobiele Meta AI-app op  rechtsonder.
  3. If you have unimported captures on your glasses, an Import button will appear next to Gallery. Tap Import to begin importing media.

To share media from the Meta AI mobile app:

  1. Tik in de mobiele Meta AI-app op  rechtsonder.

  3. Tap the capture that you want to share.
  4. Tik op  Deel, then select where you want to share the capture to.

Share media using voice controls

You can also use voice controls to share photos and videos directly to your Messenger, Facebook and Instagram story and WhatsApp or phone’s messaging contact list, as long as they’re connected to the Meta AI mobile app. You can connect them by going to Communicatie in Apparaatinstellingen.

When you share media using voice controls, you will not be able to preview or edit your media before sharing.

Say one of the following phrases to share media using voice controls:

  • “Send a picture to [contact name]”.
  • “Send a picture to [contact name] on Messenger/WhatsApp/my phone”.
  • “Send my last picture to [contact name]”.
  • “Send a video to [contact name] on Messenger/WhatsApp/my phone”.
  • “Send a video to [contact name]”.
