Location permission is required on certain Android versions and iOS mobile devices in order to connect the glasses with the Meta AI mobile app using Wi-Fi for features such as media import and glasses updates.
Location permission is required to connect to your glasses using Wi-Fi on certain Android versions and iOS mobile devices in order to use Meta AI mobile app features such as media import and glasses updates.
If you allow the Meta AI mobile app “always allow” location permission access, location data from your phone can be used to enhance your experience when you are using your glasses, even without having your phone screen on and the Meta AI mobile app open.

You can view and manage your privacy settings, such as voice activity log and cloud media processing, in the Meta AI mobile app.

If you unpair your Ray-Ban Stories from the Meta AI mobile, you’ll stay logged in to your Meta account and you’ll still have access to your previously imported photos and videos. Unpairing your Ray-Ban Stories will remove them from the app’s memory, which will cause certain features, such as viewing your battery’s charge, to not work; however, unpairing your Ray-Ban Stories will not change or erase any settings.
To unpair your Ray-Ban Stories:
In order to pair your glasses with a new Meta account, you’ll need to factory reset your glasses. When you factory reset, you permanently erase all captures on your glasses that have not been imported.

With Ray-Ban Stories, you can connect Messenger, WhatsApp and your iPhone or Android phone with the Meta AI mobile app to make calls and send messages using voice controls. Your glasses can also announce when you get messages and read them aloud.
To connect your Messenger, WhatsApp or your phone to the Meta AI mobile app:

If you currently use your Facebook account to access your Ray-Ban Stories, you will need to set up a Meta account to continue using your device. If you already have a Meta account, you can enter your login details to continue using your device.

If you’re a new Ray-Ban Stories user, you can set up your Meta account using your email, Instagram account or Facebook account.

After setting up your Meta account, you can add or remove this account from the same Accounts Center as your Facebook and Instagram accounts at any time.
When you create a Meta account with Facebook or Instagram, your Meta account will be added to the same Accounts Center as your Facebook or Instagram account. You can always choose to remove accounts from the same Accounts Center.

When you log out of the Meta AI mobile app, any devices that you have paired to the app will be unpaired.

If you log back in to the Meta AI mobile app, you will need to pair your devices again.

If your account hasn’t followed our Code of Conduct for Virtual Experiences, Supplemental Meta Platforms Technologies Terms of Service or the Meta Terms of Service, it may be disabled or restricted.
If your Meta account is disabled or restricted, you’ll see a message telling you when you try to log in.
You may be able to request a download of your Meta account information by following the instructions on the notification screen.
If you think your account was disabled or restricted by mistake, you may be able to ask us to review the decision. After logging in, follow the on-screen instructions to submit your appeal.
If you do not appeal within the specified time, you will no longer be able to request a review of your account.
Bear in mind that in some cases we may not issue a warning before restricting your account. We also can’t restore accounts that were disabled for severe violations.
If you can’t see a notification telling you that your account was disabled or restricted, you may be experiencing a login issue.

When you capture photos and videos with your Ray-Ban Meta glasses, your media is stored on your glasses until you import them into the Meta AI mobile app. During import, while your media is being transferred from your glasses to your phone, media is temporarily stored as part of the Meta AI mobile app in a cache. The cache will automatically clear itself shortly after importing, and you can manually clear the cache in Device settings.
To clear your Meta AI mobile app cache:
Media will be removed from your glasses and saved to your phone’s photos app after importing. Media in the Meta AI mobile app Gallery will be displayed by accessing your phone’s photo app with your permission.
Edits made to media in the Meta AI mobile app are also made to the media stored on your phone’s photo app. Deleting media from the Meta AI mobile app deletes the media from your phone’s photo app. If you delete media from your phone’s photo app, or revoke permission for Meta AI to access your phone’s photo app, media will not appear in the Gallery.
