How to Spot Fake Smart Glasses: Protect Your Eyes and Your Investment
Smart glasses are no longer a futuristic concept—they’re part of everyday life, combining fashion, function, and advanced technology. With the rise of premium models like the Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta, counterfeit products have unfortunately followed. Knowing how to identify fake smart glasses is essential not only for protecting your money but also your health.
The Hidden Dangers of Counterfeit Smart Glasses
Unlike authentic models, fake smart glasses often lack proper UV protection, which can severely damage your eyes. People assume that dark lenses equal safety, but that’s far from the truth. Behind a tinted lens, the pupil dilates to allow more light in—and without true UV filtering, harmful rays can penetrate directly into the eye. This increases the risk of long-term issues such as cataracts or skin damage around the eye area.
Materials Matter More Than You Think
Cheap replicas may look similar at first glance, but the materials used can cause allergic reactions, break easily, or simply fail to perform. Genuine Ray-Ban Meta or Oakley Meta glasses undergo rigorous testing for skin safety, durability, and clarity. Counterfeits, on the other hand, often use subpar plastics or untested coatings.
How to Identify Original Meta Smart Glasses
Here are key signs to look for:
- Authorized seller: Always purchase from official resellers or trusted platforms.
- Build quality: Authentic models feel sturdy, with seamless hinges and flawless alignment.
- Branding and packaging: Originals come in high-quality boxes with official markings and documentation.
- Functionality: Meta smart glasses include voice control, built-in speakers, and AI capabilities. Fakes may have none of these features or malfunction quickly.
Where Not to Buy
Avoid buying from street vendors, discount stores, or unknown online shops. If a deal seems too good to be true—it usually is.
Stay Safe, Stay Smart
Investing in a verified pair of smart glasses ensures not only that you’re getting all the promised features but also that your vision is protected. With counterfeit models flooding the market, knowledge is your best defense.

Ray-Ban Meta: Glasses Smarter Than Your Classmate With Two Degrees
At first glance, they look like classic Ray-Bans—but under the lenses, it’s a whole different story. Ray-Ban Meta are glasses that combine style, comfort, and artificial intelligence. Yes, the kind that answers questions like “What’s 15% of this restaurant bill?” without you having to pull out your phone.
What do these glasses actually do?
The concept is simple: you look, you speak, and the glasses do the rest. Built-in camera, microphones, speakers, and an AI assistant that responds to your voice. Say “take a photo”—it snaps one. Ask “what’s the weather like in Košice”—it tells you. Ask “where did I put my phone”—okay, that one’s still in beta.
What do they look like?
Relax, they won’t make you look like a cyborg. They look like classic Wayfarers or Headliners. No oversized frames, no disco LEDs. Just a clean, iconic design with a subtle hint that you’re two tech generations ahead of everyone else.
Features you actually care about:
- Camera right between your eyes – perfect for first-person shots whether you’re hiking or just getting groceries.
- Microphones and speakers – so you can have conversations with your AI like a professional whisperer.
- Play music, make calls, listen to podcasts – all without lifting a finger.
- Live translation – finally understand what that waiter in Italy is trying to tell you without embarrassment.
Who should get these?
- People who think smartwatches are already too mainstream.
- Content creators who want to shoot POV videos without gear, gimbals, or GoPros.
- Tech lovers who want to order coffee while translating a vending machine label in real-time.
Battery life and other boring specs
No worries here—it won’t die after two songs. The battery lasts all day, and it comes with a charging case. Yes, your glasses charge like AirPods now. Who would’ve thought in a world where your car AC still needs a 40-page manual.
Verdict
Ray-Ban Meta isn’t just about tech. It’s about how you look, what you hear, what you create, and how quickly you can answer a question you’d normally spend three minutes googling. They’re not for everyone—but if you know the future’s already here, you probably know what I mean.
Try them on. But be warned—people will ask what’s on your face. And for once, it won’t be because you picked the wrong frame.

Voice-Controlled Messaging and Media: The Future Is Now With Ray-Ban Meta Glasses
Smart glasses have long promised a hands-free future, but with the latest AI-powered innovations, that vision is quickly becoming reality. The Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses are redefining convenience and connectivity by introducing powerful voice-controlled features that bring the digital world closer than ever.
Thanks to their seamless integration with Meta’s voice assistant, users can now listen to messages from apps like Messenger, reply using voice commands, and even control music playback without ever touching their phone. The glasses use built-in open-ear speakers and a beamforming microphone array, making communication feel as natural as a conversation.
This hands-free design is especially valuable when you’re driving, cooking, walking the dog, or simply have your hands full. A quick “Hey Meta” is all it takes to interact with your inbox, call contacts, or even get a summary of your day. The glasses also function as Bluetooth headphones and a 12 MP wearable camera, making them a multifunctional powerhouse.
Unlike earlier generations of smart eyewear, the Ray-Ban Meta models combine iconic aesthetics with high-tech functionality. Available in multiple styles—including the legendary Wayfarer and modern Headliner—they fit comfortably into everyday life while enhancing it with contextual AI.
With Meta continuously rolling out software updates, users can expect more features and better performance over time. Whether you’re a tech enthusiast or someone who simply wants to stay connected more naturally, these smart glasses are one of the most exciting wearables on the market.

The Next Frontier: How AI Glasses Are Reshaping the Wearable Tech Industry
Smart glasses have long flirted with the edge of mainstream adoption, but recent innovations in artificial intelligence have finally pushed them into the spotlight. Among the leading players, Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses have emerged as a game-changer, combining classic design with cutting-edge AI capabilities.
Unlike earlier attempts at smart eyewear, these new AI-enhanced glasses offer much more than just camera features or audio streaming. They are powered by Meta AI, an intelligent assistant capable of handling real-time queries, translating languages, and even identifying landmarks or objects on the go. This evolution turns everyday glasses into an intelligent companion, seamlessly integrating with users’ lifestyles.
But it’s not just Meta that sees the future in AI wearables. Tech giants like Google are also making bold moves in this space, reportedly eyeing partnerships with established eyewear manufacturers like EssilorLuxottica, the parent company behind Ray-Ban and Oakley. This signals a major shift in the tech industry’s approach to smart glasses—from experimental gadgets to essential tools of the AI era.
At Ivanzo, we’ve seen firsthand how interest in AI eyewear is skyrocketing. Consumers are no longer buying glasses just for style or vision correction—they’re investing in devices that augment reality in real time. Whether it’s capturing content, accessing information hands-free, or navigating with visual cues, smart glasses are redefining what it means to be connected.
As more companies enter the race, innovation will accelerate—and so will consumer demand. One thing is certain: AI glasses are no longer a futuristic concept—they’re the next frontier of personal technology.

Ray-Ban Meta Skyler – Smart Glasses for the Creatively Bold
Not every smart glasses wearer is a minimalist. Not everyone wants black frames, mirrored lenses, and tech that hides behind anonymity. Some want more. More color, more personality, more presence.
That’s where the Ray-Ban Meta Skyler Shiny Chalky Gray / Cinnamon Pink comes in.
Available now at Ivanzo, this model isn’t trying to disappear into the background — it’s built to be noticed, in the right way.
The soft shiny chalky gray frame combined with warm cinnamon pink lenses gives the Skyler a unique tone: soft but expressive, playful but elevated. It’s a colorway that doesn’t shout, but still turns heads.
Who Are These Smart Glasses For?
The Skyler is made for the creatively bold. People who treat fashion as self-expression, not uniform. People who enjoy standing apart, not fitting in. Think:
- Creative professionals who blend technology with aesthetics
- Digital nomads who want their tools to travel with them
- Designers, stylists, content creators who see glasses as part of their visual language
- Anyone who doesn’t want their tech to look like tech
These smart glasses feature the full Ray-Ban Meta platform under the hood:
- Dual cameras for first-person photo and video capture
- Meta AI voice assistance for hands-free control
- Open-ear audio for listening without isolation
- Lightweight construction and balanced fit
- Seamless pairing with your phone and apps
And of course, the Cinnamon Pink lenses aren’t just a design choice — they reduce glare and soften harsh daylight tones, adding a gentle warmth to everything you see.
Tech That Doesn’t Follow Rules – and Neither Should You
Where most smart glasses chase invisibility, the Skyler embraces identity. It’s tech, yes — but it’s also taste. It makes a quiet statement: you can be connected without being boring.
Ray-Ban Meta Skyler Shiny Chalky Gray / Cinnamon Pink is for those who don’t separate utility and style — they demand both in one.
You don’t have to look like everyone else to use the same technology.
Skyler is what happens when tech finally catches up to taste. -
Oakley Meta HSTN: Smart Glasses That Don’t Compromise on Performance
The problem with most smart glasses? They’re either too focused on tech and look awkward, or they’re stylish but light on function. Oakley Meta HSTN doesn’t fall into either trap.
Developed in collaboration with Meta, the Oakley Meta HSTN Black with Prizm Polar Black lenses is a different breed of smart eyewear. It’s built for movement, for speed, for people who don’t just want smart features — they want performance. And they want it without sacrificing how they look.
Now available at Ivanzo, this model is the answer for those who found Ray-Ban Meta too casual, or too subtle. Oakley Meta HSTN is bold, athletic, and ready for action.
Built for the Outdoors
Unlike clear-lens models designed for mixed environments, the Oakley Meta HSTN is unapologetically made for the outside. The Prizm Polar Black lenses are optimized to enhance contrast, reduce glare, and improve visibility in bright conditions — whether you’re cycling through traffic, hiking a ridgeline, or just navigating a sunlit city.
The frame itself is lightweight, flexible, and contoured to stay in place during movement. This is not fashion-first eyewear. It’s function-first design with a bold, sport-forward identity.
Integrated Tech That Doesn’t Get in the Way
Underneath the sleek surface, you get all the smart functionality you’d expect from the Meta ecosystem:
- Dual cameras for capturing POV content
- Open-ear speakers for situational awareness
- Built-in microphones for calls and voice control
- Full support for Meta AI and hands-free interaction
- Seamless pairing with your phone and apps
What’s different here is the way that tech is embedded into a performance frame. The audio ports don’t interfere with helmet straps. The weight is balanced to avoid bounce. And the control gestures are tuned for active use, even with gloves or sweat.
Not Just for Athletes – But Definitely Made for Movement
While Oakley Meta HSTN is perfect for athletes, it’s just as well-suited to anyone who wants smart features without feeling like they’re wearing a gadget. No flashing lights, no obvious microphones. Just a clean, aggressive frame that happens to be smarter than it looks.
And thanks to polarized Prizm lenses, the visual experience is far better than with traditional sunglasses – especially in motion-heavy situations where clarity and focus matter.
Where to Get It
The Oakley Meta HSTN Black / Prizm Polar Black is available now at Ivanzo, with full warranty and fast delivery across the EU.
If you’ve been waiting for a smart glasses model that actually fits into an active lifestyle — this is it.
Forget subtle.
Oakley Meta HSTN is for people who move, think, and see fast.Explore more at Ivanzo.com.

Meta View Is Now the Meta AI App: Here’s What’s New & What Stays the Same
An important update for Ray-Ban Meta glasses owners today: The Meta View app is now the Meta AI app on iOS and Android. Along with a new name, your AI glasses companion app is getting an upgrade, with new features to make your experience more fun, useful, and personal than ever before. We’re here to walk you through the changes. But rest assured, the core features you’ve come to know will stay the same.
Glasses have emerged as the most exciting new hardware category of the AI era with Ray-Ban Meta glasses leading the way in defining what’s possible. We’re excited to bring the same voice experiences that have made our glasses so popular to more surfaces like the Meta AI app.
Friendly & Familiar
While the Meta AI app has a new name and look, it’s still the companion app for the Ray-Ban Meta glasses you know and love. The existing photos and videos you’ve captured with your glasses, device settings, and features you’re familiar with from Meta View are still available in the new app. We’re also automatically migrating your existing media and device settings from Meta View to the Meta AI app, so you won’t miss a beat. And just like we rolled out in our last update, you can use the Meta AI app to pair and manage up to seven pairs of glasses.
An All-In-One Companion App
New to Ray-Ban Meta glasses? The Meta AI app is your all-in-one companion to set up and manage your device. You can import, view, and share the photos and videos captured with your AI glasses directly from the app. You’ll also use the Meta AI app to configure your settings, update your software, and manage privacy options. You can set up voice commands from the app, so you can use your glasses hands-free, and even adjust your camera settings.
By integrating Meta AI and all that it offers into the companion app, we’re leveling up your Ray-Ban Meta glasses experience. You can get creative with the photos from your glasses directly in the Meta AI app—after importing your photos, ask Meta AI in the app to add, remove, or change parts of the image.
Checking out a new city? Ask Meta AI to tell you more about a local landmark. You can access and manage saved memories to improve your personalized responses from Meta AI on the app and your glasses over time. You can also start a conversation with Meta AI on your Ray-Ban Meta glasses, then access it in your history tab from the app to pick up where you left off.
New & Notable Features in the App
The Meta AI app was designed to help you find inspiration and get the most out of your glasses.
The new Discover feed lets you see how other people are using AI to get things done. It’s a great way to find new ideas. Recycle a clever prompt or remix it to make it your own. And as always, you’re in control: Your conversations with Meta AI are not public unless you choose to share them to the feed.
While speaking with AI using your voice isn’t new, we’re using Llama 4 in the Meta AI app to bring you responses that feel more personal, relevant, and conversational. The experience integrates with other features like image generation and editing, which can now all be done through a voice or text conversation with your AI assistant in the app.
We’ve also included a demo of a voice experience we’re building that’s full-duplex speech technology, that you can toggle on and off to test in the Meta AI app. This feature doesn’t have access to real-time information, so you may encounter technical issues or inconsistencies. We’ll continue to gather feedback to improve it over time.
And to make it easier to multitask, you can also continue to use Meta AI’s voice features while doing other things on your phone, with a visible icon to let you know when the microphone is in use.
Voice conversations in the Meta AI app, including the full duplex demo, are available in the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand to start.* To learn more about how you can manage your experience on the Meta AI app and toggle between modes, visit our help center.
Intelligence for You
The Meta AI app uses Llama 4 to help you solve problems, move throughout your day easier, and better understand the world around you. And with the ability to search across the web, it can help you get recommendations, deep dive on a topic, and stay connected with your friends and family.
We’re using our decades of experience personalizing people’s experiences on our platforms to make Meta AI more personal. You can tell Meta AI to remember specific details about you (like that you love to travel and learn new languages), and it can pick up important details from context cues. Meta AI also delivers more relevant answers to your questions by drawing on information you’ve already chosen to share on Facebook and Instagram (if they’re added to the same Accounts Center), like profile details and content you like or engage with. Personalized responses are available today in the US and Canada.
We’re Just Getting Started
This is the first version of the Meta AI app, and we plan to iterate and improve it over time. Meta AI is built to get to know you, so its answers are more helpful. It’s easy to talk to, so it’s more seamless and natural to interact with. And it’s more connected, so it can share things from the people and places you care about.
Give it a try today on iOS or Android, and learn more about the new and improved Meta AI.
*Voice conversations in New Zealand available in-app only, not on Ray-Ban Meta glasses.

Fashion Forward: Amelia Gray Spotted in Ray-Ban Meta Glasses on the Met Gala Red Carpet
High couture took center stage last night on the first Monday in May. And you may have spotted some familiar fashion-forward tech on the proverbial red carpet. As part of her custom look, Amelia Gray sported a pair of Ray-Ban Meta glasses.

The AI glasses—Shiny Black Skyler frames with Polarized Green sun lenses—were the perfect accessory to capture photos and videos throughout the day while also helping her get ready. From taking calls hands-free and listening to music or a podcast to getting answers from Meta AI on the fly, Ray-Ban Meta glasses make any pre-event routine anything but.
This isn’t the first time our AI glasses have gone high fashion. Earlier this year, Gray debuted our sold-out Ray-Ban Meta x Coperni Limited Edition frames on the runway at Paris Fashion Week. Ray-Ban Meta glasses are fashion’s most useful tech-accessory, gaining traction among editors, stylists, and models from the pages of magazines to the runway—and now on the red carpet of fashion’s biggest night of the year.
“I’m still radiating from the night!” said Amelia Gray. “And to know that I will be able to relive so many of those special moments from my own perspective is truly surreal. It’s an entirely new way to experience and share these once-in-a-lifetime moments, and I couldn’t be more excited to be part of Ray-Ban Meta’s Met Gala debut. ”
Inside the event, Gray was joined by Charli XCX, Jeff Goldblum, Jenna Ortega, Kim Kardashian, Nicki Minaj, Rosé, Shaboozey, and Taraji P. Henson as guests at Instagram’s table along with Adam Mosseri and Eva Chen.

And off the carpet, Instagram and Threads hosted a number of icons who are driving the cultural conversation forward at The Mark Hotel for our 5th annual Watch Party. More than 50 creators and pop culture and fashion commentators gathered to watch the red carpet arrivals and share real-time looks on Instagram and Threads.
