To use Ray-Ban Meta glasses, you first need to pair your glasses with the Meta AI mobile app using a supported smart phone. You can download the Meta AI mobile app from the App Store or Google Play and log in using your Meta account.

Here’s a list of what you need to use Ray-Ban Meta glasses:

• Supported smart phone (Android 10 and above with location services enabled or iOS 14.4 and above)
• A valid Meta account
• Meta AI mobile app
• Wireless internet access
  • You can still take captures and use some voice controls without Wi-Fi, but you’ll need Wi-Fi for full voice control, to import your captures and to install updates.

Once you’ve set up your device, you’ll be able to use Ray-Ban Meta glasses features, including:

• Capturing and sharing media
• Calling and messaging
• Live-streaming
• Listening to audio on Spotify or other connected apps
• Using voice controls to find answers to questions, answer calls, send messages and more
• Using Meta AI to find answers to questions, answer calls, send messages and more
• Asking Meta AI about what you see

Even when your glasses are not connected to the Meta AI mobile app, you can capture photos and videos, check your glasses battery level if you enabled voice controls, and listen to audio from a phone that you are connected to over Bluetooth. 1. From the Meta AI mobile app, tap  in the bottom right.
2. Swipe down and tap See all next to Learn & Explore.

A Meta account is required to use your Ray-Ban Meta glasses. If you already have a Meta account, you can enter your login details to continue using your device. If you don’t have a Meta account, you can set one up using your email address, Instagram account or Facebook account.

To set up a Meta account:

1. Open the Meta AI mobile app on your phone and follow the on-screen instructions.

How to set up a new Meta account with email

To set up a Meta account using your email address, you will need to provide:

• Email address: You can only create one Meta account per email address.
• First name and surname: We recommend using your real name in case you need to recover your account or manage your store purchases, but it is not required.
• Date of birth: You need to be at least 13 years old to sign up for a Meta account in most regions. We use this information to help provide age-appropriate experiences for the youngest members of our community.
• Password: This must be at least eight characters long. Avoid passwords that someone could easily guess.

After setting up your Meta account, you can add or remove this account from the same Accounts Centre as your Facebook and Instagram accounts at any time.

How to set up a new Meta account with Facebook or Instagram

When you create a Meta account with Facebook or Instagram, your Meta account will be added to the same Accounts Centre as your Facebook or Instagram account. You can always choose to remove accounts from the same Accounts Centre.

Visit the Instagram or Facebook Help Centres if you’re having trouble with logging in to those accounts.

When you take your Ray-Ban Meta glasses out of the box, they should already be charged and ready for setup. The directions below will walk you through setting up your glasses and pairing them with the Meta AI mobile app.

To unbox and prepare your Ray-Ban Meta glasses for setup:

1. Remove the plastic tab between the case and the glasses.
2. Remove your glasses from the case.
3. Turn your glasses on by sliding the power switch on the left frame towards the front of the glasses.
4. Put your glasses back inside the case, making sure to gently push down on the top of the glasses so that the bottom of the nose bridge on your glasses makes contact with the charging port inside the case.
5. When the case LED starts flashing blue, your device is ready to pair with the Meta AI mobile app.
   • If your device doesn’t automatically go into pairing mode, you can manually turn pairing mode on by pressing and holding the button on the back of the case for at least 5 seconds.

How to pair Ray-Ban Meta glasses with the Meta AI mobile app

The Meta AI mobile app acts as a companion to your Ray-Ban Meta glasses, allowing you to customize device settings, configure voice controls, use calling and messaging features, live stream, and more. You can download the Meta AI mobile app from the App Store or Google Play and log in using your Meta account. The Meta AI mobile app is only available on mobile devices.

To pair your glasses with the Meta AI mobile app and complete device setup:

1. Ensure your device is in pairing mode by following the instructions above.
2. Download the Meta AI mobile app from the App Store or Google Play and log in using your Meta account.
   • If you don’t already have a Meta account, you’ll be asked to create one. Learn more about how to set up a Meta account for Ray-Ban Meta glasses.
3. Turn on the Bluetooth setting on your phone.
4. Following the instructions in the Meta AI mobile app to finish setting up your glasses.

Keep in mind, Ray-Ban Meta glasses can only pair with one valid Meta account at a time. You’ll need to factory reset your glasses before someone else can pair them to their account.

Note: A USB-C charge cable is not included. You will need one to charge your glasses and case.

E MM/YY marking on packaging box label

The E MM/YY mark is added on the packing label for in-store inventory management purposes. This indicates the shelf life of the initial battery charge for activation and setup, originating from the factory. If you purchase and charge the device prior to the date printed, this date is no longer applicable to the usage of the product or battery.

P MM/YY = Month of production

E MM/YY = Month of battery charge expiry (if uncharged since time of production)
